Anatomage is excited to be at the HOSA ILC in Nashville, Tennessee to host our Anatomage Tournament, present an engaging Workshop, and support the Forensic Science Competitive Event!

The Anatomage Tournament- Bring Your “A” Game!

The Anatomage Tournament is a team-based competition to test competitors’ knowledge of anatomy and is open to all student divisions and advisors!

Location: Ryman Exhibit Hall B6, The Anatomage Booth at the HOSA Expo

Prizes will be awarded to the Top Teams!

Tournament Information

  • The Tournament is open to all divisions:
    • Middle School
    • Secondary
    • Postsecondary/Collegiate
    • Advisors
  • Student teams must consist of of 3-5 members
  • Advisor teams must consist of 2-5 Advisors
  • Tournament teams can be composed of members from different HOSA Chapters at the ILC
  • Maximum of 2 teams per school

The Tournament Quizzes will consist of structures from the following systems:

  •  Skeletal System (Bones, bony landmarks, and ligaments)
  • Muscular System
  • Digestive System
  • Respiratory System
  • Urinary System
  • Endocrine/Exocrine System
  • Cardiovascular System (Heart and major blood vessels)
  • Nervous System (Brain, spinal cord, and major nerves)

The difficulty and specificity of structures increases with each Round.

Scoring:
Correct Answer: 10 points
Incorrect Answer: -1 point
Skipped: 0 points

Round Breakdown*:
Preliminary: 25 questions – 4 minutes
Top 8: 30 questions – 5 minutes
Top 4: 30 questions – 5 minutes
Finals: 35 questions – 6 minutes

*Middle School may be subject to different quizzes.

Teams will register for a 20 minute time slot for their Tournament Round.

During the 20 minutes the Tournament Team will:

  • Receive an introduction to the Anatomage Table
  • Take Practice Quiz Rounds to become familiar with Table Functions
  • Complete Tournament Round Quiz!

We recommend studying anatomy any way you can such as using apps, models, or textbooks! You will be tested using a real, authentic cadaver so keep in mind the color of muscles, tissues, and bones, may not be perfect!

Thursday, June 23 

  • Preliminary Rounds, continued: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

  • Top 8: 4:00PM- 6:00PM

Friday, June 24 

  • Top 8, continued: 9:00AM-11:00AM

  • Top 4 & Championship: 12:00PM-2:00PM

  • Recognition Session (Tournament): 7:30PM-10:00PM

Saturday, June 25

  • Grand Awards Session (Forensic Science): 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

ILC Workshop
Anatomage: Explore the World of Virtual Cadaver Dissection

In addition to Anatomage Tournaments, tournament participants will also have the opportunity to attend a workshop “Anatomage: Explore the World of Virtual Cadaver Dissection” to learn about how Anatomage Digital Bodies are created from real human images.

The workshop will be led by Anatomage’s Director of Sales Steven King and it will occur on Friday, June 24, 2022, at 2:00 PM CDT in Room Lincoln C.
